I have over 13 years experience working in mental health as well as over four years working in child welfare services. I currently work as a forensic mental health therapist. Most of my experience has been serving the chronically mentally ill. I specialize in and have ran several anxiety workshops in my private practice.
At a sixteen bed inpatient facility, I am leading various therapeutic process groups, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Anger Management focused. I am responsible for monitoring legal holds.
I also served the chronically mentally ill for over a decade in a residential facility that offered therapeutic services including groups such as process, skill building and adjunctive therapy. I developed long term personal treatment plans based on clients’ psychiatric evaluations and individual needs. I organized and plannedcommunity reintegration outings and completed documentation. For five years, I was in management, specializing in geriatrics and intensive residential treatment. At the Harmony Health Family Resource Center, I provided counseling to children, adults and families. I also facilitated Anger Management Groups for people on probation, parole and self-referrals.
